10 point Service
• Brush clean drop ladder retracted and extended
• Pinpoint lubrication of all moving points and bearing surfaces with heavy duty silicone
• Inspect condition of drop ladder safety chain and instruction plate – replace if needed with your approval
• Separate special lubrication used on retracting cable to protect it from corrosion
• Fully exercise the drop ladder through a few cycles to ensure a smooth drop and retraction and check all parts and connections
• Ensure the release / lock mechanism is safe and secure, ready for use if needed in an emergency
• Inspect & note the condition of drop ladder, platforms and ladder way metal
• Inspect and note the condition of all platform fasteners, anchor bolts, support beams, hand railings and building penetrations relating to the fire escape
• Hike the entire escape system from the roof to the lowest platform, down the drop ladder to the ground, noting a safe path of egress
• Computer generate the Certificate of Inspection describing conditions found and work done, and get it to you, or any inspector as requested – FAST!
$25 per fire escape system w/out drop ladder
• Inspect & note the condition of the platforms and ladder way metal

We only use hot dipped galvanized fasteners when possible, primer all metal parts and work areas affected, then top coat with exterior paint to match existing color as closely as possible. Our weatherizing service for open penetrations in building siding, around anchor bolts, and across support beams denies entry to rain water and pests, further protecting the structural integrity of the fire escapes. Our working relationships with quality licensed metal fabricators can get most any job done right.
